Pakistan Cricket Board’s irresponsible assigning dual responsibility to Misbah-ul-Haq simultaneously

KARACHI: Former Provincial Sports Minister and President of the Karachi Hockey Association, Dr. Syed Junaid Ali Shah, has reacted strongly to the defeat of Pakistan in the Twenty20 series against Australia, saying that this is the result of abuse of the right players. Giving Misbah-ul-Haq the dual responsibility of the Pakistan Cricket Board is proving to be an unwise decision; the selection committee’s failure to include senior and experienced players Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez against a strong team like Australia,

He said that Fakhr Zaman was given plenty of chances even after a consistent failure which is understandable. Former captain Sarfraz Ahmed was dismissed from the team after a flop in the series but Fakhr Zaman continued to suffer the second T. Being a part of the team till the Twenty20 can be gauged by the bias of the selection committee chief, Dr Syed Junaid Ali Shah said that the Sindh team won the recent under-19 national tournament and proved that there was a lot of talent in Indore including Karachi. But surprisingly, injustice is still going on with the deserving players of Karachi. He added that the credit goes to Sarfraz Ahmed for making the Pakistan team number one in the Twenty20 format, but sadly, the Pakistan Cricket Board did not provide his service line, at least he was captain of the Twenty20 team. Could have been maintained. He said that the Pakistan Cricket Board wants to add Sharjeel Khan to the squad to meet the legal requirements that are needed to be included in the squad, as an opener it will be very beneficial for the team especially T20 World. Joining his team in the Cup will be important.
